POSITION TITLE: Accompanist/Music Librarian

F.S.L.A.: Non-exempt          

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to perform as a piano accompanist during music classes and required performances.
• Ability to learn multiple pieces of music, and play piano multiple times throughout each day.
• Ability to sit, stand, bend, reach, sort and file material repeatedly on a daily basis.

REPORTS TO: Building Principal

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:   

Hours as specified by the Music Department / Building Principal which will include extra

rehearsal hours with students and ensembles as needed, as well as concert performances.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Rehearse with music classes daily. 
2. Assist with all music groups, sectionals, choirs, practices and performances.
3. Accompany all performances and concerts including field trips.
4. Attend after school rehearsals as required.
5. Accompanying school musicals when required, usually every other year.
6. Keep up to date records of sheet music, file music, organize music in folders, and repair music as needed.
7. Prepare music materials for students and teachers, including recordings, packets, or sheet music.
8. Learn multiple pieces of music per quarter, be prepared to play during class, at concerts, or during rehearsals.
